How long is the battery life? How long can the safe work after installation?
If you use a fresh set of alkaline batteries, XDeer's safes will last between 6 and 9 months of normal use.
Is there a light to indicate that the battery level is low?
XDeer safes without battery alert will emit a 10-beep tone when the battery is low and the safe is unlocked using the numeric keypad or fingerprint. We recommend that you replace the alkaline batteries with new ones when you hear this sound.

Can I charge the safe?
Currently all XDeer safes cannot use rechargeable batteries and only support the use of alkaline batteries. And, some models of XDeer safes with auxiliary interface function are also unable to charge it.

Will the safe remember my programmed fingerprint and password if there is no battery/battery is dead/battery is broken?
Provided that you have programmed the XDeer safe with your fingerprint and password, the XDeer safe will still remember your fingerprint and password if the installed battery no longer works. After installing the battery/powering up the XDeer safe using the auxiliary interface, you can still unlock the XDeer safe with your programmed fingerprint and password.
Can the safe be kept powered on (connected to the adapter/USB port) and using batteries at all times?
If the XDeer safe has a battery installed and the XDeer safe is kept powered on using the adapter/USB port, the battery will automatically power down.
Why doesn't the internal LED the safe light up when I unlock it with the key?/How do you turn on the LED?
In order to save power when working with the XDeer safe, the XDeer safe internal LED lights up only when unlocked by fingerprint and password. The XDeer safe's internal LED does not light up when unlocked by the key.

How to use the adapter/USB to assist in unlocking the safe?
Use the adapter/USB cable to unlock the XDeer safe when your keys are not with you or when the battery installed in the XDeer safe is running low.

How to test whether the motor is normal or not?

According to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and yes, you can, but it must be in checked baggage, not a carry-on. It must be unloaded (including removal of chambered rounds), though in most cases ammunition can be carried in the same safe.

Will the safe remember my programmed fingerprint and password if there is no battery/battery is dead/battery is broken?
Provided that you have programmed the XDeer safe with your fingerprint and password, the XDeer safe will still remember your fingerprint and password if the installed battery no longer works. After installing the battery/powering up the XDeer safe using the auxiliary interface, you can still unlock the XDeer safe with your programmed fingerprint and password.
Can the safe be kept powered on (connected to the adapter/USB port) and using batteries at all times?
If the XDeer safe has a battery installed and the XDeer safe is kept powered on using the adapter/USB port, the battery will automatically power down.
Why doesn't the internal LED the safe light up when I unlock it with the key?/How do you turn on the LED?
In order to save power when working with the XDeer safe, the XDeer safe internal LED lights up only when unlocked by fingerprint and password. The XDeer safe's internal LED does not light up when unlocked by the key.

Is the adapter/USB cable safe to charge?
May not. Adapters and USB cables only keep the XDeer safe powered up and the XDeer safe cannot be fitted with rechargeable batteries.
What are the specifications of the adapter? How can I get a longer adapter?
The length of the adapter is 1.7m/67 inches. Adapter specification: Input100-240V~50/60HZ 0.45A, Output: 6.0V 1.0A or 5.0V 1.0A. The diameter of the plug round hole is 4.2mm/0.16inches.

How to test whether the motor is normal or not?
If the XDeer safe cannot be successfully programmed with a fingerprint or password after installing the battery, we recommend that you check the XDeer safe motor by yourself by this method to see if it is working properly.

Is XDeer's safe fireproof?
XDeer safes are not fire rated.
We developed these safes as quick access safe focusing on technology and smart protection. Fire protection requires very thick metal construction with fire retardant materials which have not been implemented.

Is XDeer's safe TSA approved?
According to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), and yes, you can, but it must be in checked baggage, not a carry-on. It must be unloaded (including removal of chambered rounds), though in most cases ammunition can be carried in the same safe.
